The divisions within the Department of Educational Sciences are:

The Division of Curriculum and Instruction conducts undergraduate program courses related to Curriculum and Instruction within the scope of the Faculty of Education. The division also includes master's and doctoral degree programs that provide in-depth knowledge on curriculum development, curriculum evaluation, learning, and teaching processes subjects. Students who graduate from these programs can work as Curriculum and Instruction experts in public and private institutions/organizations or as experts in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction in the Faculty of Education.

 

The Division of Educational Administration offers a Master's Program with Thesis designed to train personnel to undertake academic studies and professional roles in the field of educational administration and supervision. This program appeals to individuals who want to become supervisors, administrators, education specialists or who want to continue their education in doctoral programs. In 1997, the undergraduate program was terminated in accordance with the regulations. Since then, the Division of Educational Administration and Supervision has focused solely on providing education at the graduate level.

 

The Division of Measurement and Evaluation in Learning’s core mission is to develop a range of high-quality measurement tools and equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in their chosen professional paths. The division places great emphasis on providing quality education at the graduate level, with a balanced focus on both the theoretical and practical aspects of measurement and evaluation. Students who successfully fulfill the requirements of the Master's Program with a Thesis are awarded the title of "Science Specialist." Upon successful completion, those who wish to further their academic studies can enroll in the doctoral program and earn the title of Doctor (Dr.).

 

The Division of Guidance and Psychological Counseling was established to train psychological counselors to work in various public and private institutions/organizations and accepted its first students in the 2006-2007 academic year. In addition to the regular formal education program, a second education program was opened in the 2009-2010 academic year. However, as of the 2016-2017 academic year, the second education program was closed. The Division of Guidance and Psychological Counseling within the Department of Educational Sciences continues its education with its regular formal education program. In addition to the undergraduate program, graduate-level students are trained through graduate programs.


Division of Instructional Technologies offers various professional development and elective general culture courses in teaching undergraduate programs at the Faculty of Education. Our division offers courses and content on topics such as instructional technologies, instructional design, multimedia design, instructional material development, distance education, technology integration, psychological and social effects of technology, technology addiction, coding, 3D design and modeling, robotic applications in education, innovative technologies the use of information technologies in the educational environment and cyber ethics at both undergraduate and graduate levels to students of other programs at the Faculty of Education.
