Doctorate

In the Department of Educational Sciences, thesis, non-thesis master's, and doctoral programs are carried out in the fields of Educational Sciences. The principle of providing students with the knowledge, skills, and equipment appropriate to their age requirements is taken as the basis for creating the current programs. In line with these principles, the Department offers postgraduate programs in the fields of Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Administration, Measurement and Evaluation in Learning, and Guidance and Psychological Counseling.

 

Division of Curriculum and Instruction Doctoral Degree:

The PhD program started its education activities in the fall semester of 2013-2014.

Division of Guidance and Psychological Counseling Doctoral Degree:

The doctoral program carried out in the Division of Guidance and Psychological Counseling aims to train psychological counselors who aim to solve the adaptation problems of students, especially in educational institutions, to regulate the relationships between students, their families, teachers and peers, to increase the awareness and communication skills of individuals and to provide psychological counseling and guidance services to individuals.

The Doctoral Program in Guidance and Psychological Counseling is designed to provide training for experts and practitioners in the field. The program aims to provide the necessary competencies to work with mentally, emotionally, socially and educationally developing individuals. Graduates can work as psychological counselors in universities as faculty members, public and private schools, guidance centers of universities, other educational settings, health facilities and private institutions.

The doctorate program is eight semesters and the maximum completion period is twelve semesters for those who are accepted with a master's degree with thesis, starting from the semester in which the courses related to the program they are enrolled in are given, regardless of whether they register for each semester, except for the period spent in scientific preparation. For those admitted with a bachelor's degree, the program duration is ten semesters and the maximum completion period is fourteen semesters. During this period, graduates are provided with the rights and privileges necessary to practice their profession.
